Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:1 ESV This appears to be another unfortunate chapter break. Notice how verses 10:32 and 33 go with this sentence. Can we truly imitate Jesus and give no offense? Jesus upset everything. Did he really give no offense? If so, why did they kill him? I would challenge us to read this whole section again. Paul challenges us to do everything to the glory of God (vs. 31). There's a difference between me giving offense and glorifying God. We're free from the rules. We have liberty. The rules about what we eat or how we spend our time or money don't apply. We do everything we do to glorify Jesus.
