Focus On: Business in Northumberland - Maplewood Stables

Maplewood Stables is a Boarding and Lesson Facility just minutes outside of Cobourg. It is owned and run by Jen Burnham who grew up on the family dairy and cash crop farm before she converted a small piece of it to horses. Jen followed her love of horses all through school, taking riding lessons and eventually getting her own real live pony. The business structure was conceived and put in place in March of 2002, and the business was quick to grow. Listen as Jen details how Maplewood Stables is no longer 3 small stalls in the old dairy barn, but two large indoor arenas with 30 stalls in total and 45 horses on the property.
