Listening to Heather talk is so infectious. You can hear her passion for the sport of fly fishing. Heather loves to bring change to young women at all skill levels of angling from all over the world through fly fishing. Fishing can change lives, and with Fish For Change, the organization Heather is involved in, it can happen in your hometown town or in exotic places that not only help locals in that region, but speak to the heart of anglers everywhere. Heather has a long history of fishing along side her dad in the Florida keys. With Heather by her Dad’s side, she learned conservation and cares deeply about her natural surroundings. Today, she is giving back some of the passion she feels for fly fishing to students and young people at all stages of exposure to the sport. With Heather’s infectious desire to share fly fishing with others, the sport will naturally grow. I went to Florida State University and majored in Marketing and Hospitality. Summers were spent working with an assortment of fishing organizations such as Tropic Star Lodge, Trout Unlimited, CCA, CFCW, and Costa. I knew I wanted to follow my passion and have a career within the fishing industry that gravitated towards conservation, travel, and education. After graduation I was exposed to Fish for Change and fell in love with the organization. I became the Director of Operations and here we are!
