In this episode the Fly-Fishing Insider Podcast Greg speaks with Alexandra Scott she is the 3rd generation of the Scott family yes the same people who make your rod holders, down-riggers and plastic boating accessories .
Greg and Alexandra talk about the early beginnings of scotty where her grandfather was a one man show and how he would travel up and down the west coast feeling fishing gear. To where now the Scott family now employs over 100 staff members in their BC Canada factory . They also discuss the many different products scotty offers and what the best selling ones are as well as what Greg thought was top product actually only counts for 10% of the sales.
Later in the show the guys talk about the future of scotty and the outlook it has going forward, with growth as wells their involvement with making forest fire fighting equipment .
