In addition to singing and drumming with that band, Kurt has been an influential figure on the New Jersey power pop scene for the past 30 years, joining Smithereens guitarist Jim Babjak in his side project Buzzed Meg, and also recording groups like The Smithereens and Anderson Council at his renowned House of Vibes studio. The Grip Weeds are about to release the anniversary edition of their classic album Giant On The Beach with new remixes and expanded tracks, it comes out on January 17th at www.gripweeds.com.
