What's it like to perform on a stage? To wear a character's clothes, speak their words, use their mannerisms? For some, it's terrifying. For today's guest, it's her life's work. Lynn McNutt is an actor, singer, writer, and professor at Florida Atlantic University. With 25 years of experience performing in theaters all over the country, Lynn is embarking on a different theatrical quest.

"Blue: A Rhapsody in Blubber" is a one-woman show about the complex lives of three unlikely characters: a baby blue whale, an elderly man, and a middle-aged woman. Lynn tells Gerard how she first got the idea to write "Blue" while visiting the Royal Ontario Museum. She also shares what it's like performing in her first one-woman play, depicting a blue whale, and teaching Shakespeare to graduate students. Listen in and learn something new today!
