Before his miraculous conversion experience, Saul thought he was zealously doing God’s will by seeking to wipe out this new sect of Judaism called “the Way” that followed the crucified (and resurrected) Jesus. It took being literally knocked to the ground by Jesus for this violent and threatening man to learn the truth.
