Jen and Dave from The Family Tree return for Episode 55 where we review Grandma, a 2015 comedy drama starring the awesome Lily Tomlin. The grandma (lesbian, widow and poet) in this film doesn’t conform to the usual granny stereotype, this film is part road trip for an abortion and part exploration of grief. Grandma benefits from a strong supporting cast in the form of gravelly Sam Elliot, Judy Greer, Marcia Gay Harden and the fabulous Laverne Cox.
Scores [supsystic-tables id='57'] At 79 minutes this is a spectacularly short film and anyone with even the slightest interest in a bad tempered, lesbian Lily Tomlin should definitely check it out.   Scoring a very respectable 4.13 overall (Helen and Kobi scoring the same for the first time!) we recommend Grandma.
