I’ve decided to change the format of this blog.  Instead of logging in every day (it was getting too hard and interesting things don’t happen every day), I’ve decided to update the blog by date.  Meaning, I’ll post relevant info and updated hours as the time goes along.  I’ve been busy with 2 jobs, a play rehearsal, comedy shows & school so it’s been hard to think of something to write about on a daily basis.  I did have something interesting happen to  me today, though.  I was cutting a client’s hair in class – a #1 all over – and I was using a clipper I got at a local barber supply store.  The clipper was a used OSTER Star Teq and I got a great deal on it.

It worked great for about a week until I started noticing problems.  The clipper is supposed to be 2 speed but after the 1st week, only 1 speed was working.  Today, I was using the clipper when I heard a loud pop and a bright flash of light emitted from the clipper.  The client nearly jumped out of his chair.  Luckily, he was not injured and I’m glad his hair didn’t catch on fire.  We all had a laugh and I’m glad he was able to see the lighter side of the situation.  I took the clipper back to the store and they sent it back to the manufacturer.  I’ll wait and see if they issue a replacement.

So I guess I almost blew up my client’s head today.  How is your week going?
