Unfortunately, our school was temporarily shut down in August of 2012. The school was shut down because of “paperwork” issues and when I called the organization that was in charge, they informed me that it would be about 6 months until they opened. It was unexpected and really screwed up the plans I had for 2013. I contemplated going to another school, starting over as an apprentice, and even just dropping out at one point.
I’m pleased to write that our school was given the ok to open this week and we are all back in class. I can’t really express how great it feels to set up a station and continue the process of getting a license. Over the past few months I’ve been cutting my own hair (with mixed results) and a couple of friends but it is great to get back and work on technique again. More updates to follow!
