Hymn-a-Day May: David Grant - I Left It All With Jesus

In this May 25 episode of Hymn-a-Day May with Peggy Graff and Friends, Dr. David Grant, TCU Professor of Religion, longtime member of First Church, member of FUMCFW Choral Union and Director of its bluegrass band, The Crossroad Singers. Today Dr. Grant sings, "I left it all with Jesus," a 1911 gospel hymn by James McGranahan with words by Ellen Willis, that later became the basis for Lorenzo Lyons' translation into an Hawaiian Hymn, "Hawai'i Aloha," using that tune, which is still popular in Hawaii today. Although Dr. Grant will not sing this song in Hawaiian, he will perform it in a distinctly Hawaiian style.
