The Our Way Planning Resource was developed by FPDN in consultation with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders living with disability, Elders and community members across NSW, the Northern Territory, Queensland and the Torres Strait Islands. In this episode, June Riemer talks about how the Our Way Planning Resource uses the traditional method of art and story-telling to help Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with disability understand their entitlements under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS). Our communities can use the book in their own way to identify what type of support is needed to help keep them keep strong in their relationships, their family, community and culture. FPDN provides training for organisations wishing to use this resource. Find out more info here https://fpdn.org.au/our-way-planning-resources/
