Episode 472 Junior Alvarado is a First Class Father and World Class Jockey in the sport of Thoroughbred Horse Racing. He began his horse racing career in Venezuela before bringing his talent to America in 2007. By 2009 he was the Arlington Park Champion Jockey. He has won a number of Stakes Races including the Gotham Stakes, Holy Bull Stakes, Fountain of Youth and many others. In this Episode, Junior shares his Fatherhood journey which includes three children. He describes his upbringing In Venezuela and the values his parents instilled in him which he is passing on to his kids. He discusses how the horse racing world was impacted by the pandemic and why he brought his family down to Florida to ride at Gulfstream Park this past winter. He talks about how becoming a Dad has changed his decision on how long he will continue to ride. He gives his pick for this year's Kentucky Derby. He offers some great advice for new or about to be Dads!
