About the panel


An accredited business communicator, and past global chair of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), Adrian Cropley is widely recognized as one of the world’s foremost experts and consultants in strategic communication. With a career spanning over 30 years, Adrian has worked with clients all over the world, including Fortune 500 companies, on major change communication initiatives, internal communication reviews and strategies, professional development programs, and executive leadership and coaching. He has been a keynote speaker and workshop leader on strategic and change communication at international conferences in Canada, the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, Malaysia, Singapore, China, India, Hong Kong, Thailand, New Zealand, and Australia. He has received a number of awards including international Gold Quill awards for communication excellence. Adrian is a member of the Program Advisory Committee for the RMIT School of Media and Communication, is currently chairing the IABC’s Big Ideas Taskforce, and in 2020 was named a Fellow of the IABC.


Not only does Amanda Hamilton-Attwell holds a Ph.D. in Communication Science, but she is also an Accredited Business Communication (ABC) with the IABC and a Registered Corporate Coach (RCC) with the World Association of Business Coaches. For more than three decades, she has assisted Fortune 500 companies and start-ups to optimize communication for the benefit of the organization’s strategic imperatives. BusinessDNA, the company she started 22 years ago, specializes in research and measurement, assisting business leaders in developing their competence and confidence in communication with their teams, producing state-of-the-art communication content and channels and communication coaching for executive leaders. Amanda has facilitated communication and leadership workshops in several African countries, Australia and Scotland. Dr. Hamilton-Attwell served as the Chairman and Board member of the IABC Africa Region for several terms, was a Trustee of the IABC Research Foundation, and co-chaired the IABC Career Road Map task team. In 2014 she also received the IABC Chairman’s Award for her contribution to the communication profession. In 2015 she was named a Fellow of the IABC, and in 2021 she was a member of the IABC Career Assessment Taskforce that received the Rae Hamlin Award.


 


Mark Schumann is the former Vice President of Culture at Sabre and the co-author of Brand from the Inside and Brand for Talent. Before joining Sabre, he was Director of Graduate Communication Studies at the Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College in New York City, as well as a managing principal and global communication practice leader at Towers Perrin. He served as IABC’s chair in 2009-2010 and is the winner of 17 Gold Quill awards.
