Cherie Gruenfeld is an eighteen-time IRONMAN age group champion, thirteen-time KONA World Champion, four-time IRONMAN 70.3 World Champion, and a member of the USATriathlon Hall of Fame. Cherie Gruenfeld is considered KONA's golden girl in the sport of triathlon.
Cherie's passion for the sport of triathlon has propelled her across twenty-eight IRONMAN finish lines and continues to drive her today at the age of seventy-seven.

In 2002, Cherie founded Exceeding Expectations, an organization focused on re-directing the lives of at-risk kids in San Bernardino, California, using the sport of triathlon. The organization's goal is to get every member to graduate from high school and college.

In this show, Cherie tells us what inspired her first to get involved in the sport of triathlon, how an accident put her entire triathlon career in jeopardy, and what drives her to achieve her goals in sport and life.
