In this episode Bryan Toporek of Forbes, Bleacher Report and the NBA Pod returned to talk about how the Sixers can build a title team around Joel Embiid (and Tyrese Maxey of course) and why I think it feels more possible than it did before the season. We discussed Bryan's article on Maxey's ascent as the Sixers starting point guard and how that helps the Sixers have more flexibility in a potential Ben Simmons trade. We then addressed the Jerami Grant for Ben Simmons rumors and talked about the weird fit with Joel Embiid that ball dominant scoring wings like Jerami Grant and Tobias Harris create. Next we guessed the 30 players on Daryl Morey’s Ben Simmons trade list and talked about who is definitely on there, who is definitely not on there and who could MAYBE be on there. I cannot believe we are still doing this shit lmao. Lastly we touched on why we think the Sixers might be closer to contending since the Eastern conference appears to be wide open this season.
