Is there a Doctor in the house! With Dr Carolina Are

This episode I share a virtual drink with my good friend Carolina (Caroleeeeena). We spoke about the joys and pressures of being a Pole Instructor, delved a little deeper into Carolina’s academic background and learned more about Carolina’s work in Activism.
Dr. Carolina Are, aka Blogger On Pole, is a blogger, activist, researcher with a PhD in criminology and a pole instructor. She has been teaching in London since 2019 and online, through Buy Me A Coffee events and tutorials, since the start of the pandemic. Carolina performs under the name Hades, and loves headbanging, split dropping and spinning like a tornado while pole dancing to rock and metal. She's behind various petitions, campaigns and academic papers to fight for more equal moderation of nudity and sexuality on social media, having been one of the founders of #EveryBODYVisible in 2019 and having created a recent petition against Instagram's terms of use that was signed by over 100,000 people. Basically, whether it's on the pole, on the blog or in academia, Carolina doesn't chill.
