In the latest episode of Film Stories with Simon Brew, Simon looks at director stories behind two very different films.

One week into filming of 1987's The Running Man, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, the director was replaced. The further problem? It'd be the fifth known director already to be attached to the project.

As for 2002's The Bourne Identity, rarely had a director and studio had such diverse styles, leading to four lots of reshoots, a delayed release, bad buzz, and a studio convinced that its film was going to fail.

Stories of both are discussed in this episode...
