In this Dublin International Film Festival podcast, Gemma Creagh talks to Oge Obasi, Producer of Mami Wata.

Set in the matriarchal ocean village of Iyi, where West African water deity Mami Wata reigns via the village leader, this genre-bending tale brings to life a futuristic fable that fuses spiritual beliefs with inter-generational tensions.

Written and directed by C.J. 'Fiery' Obasi.

Mami Wata screens on 24th February at The Lighthouse Cinema
