David and Silhouette commentary Ari Aster's horror thriller. A grieving family is haunted by tragic and disturbing occurrences.

Escape From Tomorrow

August 16, 2019 01:00 - 1 hour - 68.7 MB

In a world of fake castles and anthropomorphic rodents, an epic battle begins when an unemployed father's sanity is challenged by a chance encounter with two underage girls on holiday. The above discription was taken from the IMDB of this movie. Normally I wouldn't copy and paste such a thing but I feel like this movie already has some questionable copyright standing. July 25, 2019 00:00 - 2 hours - 81.3 MB

Silent Hill

January 09, 2019 01:00 - 2 hours - 61.6 MB

Video games movies almost always suck. Silent Hill may be an exception to that rule, while it's not the best horror movie ever it does stand on it's own as good movie. As far as video game franchise movies go Silent Hill deffenitly delivers on the look and feel of the source material.

Reservoir Dogs

December 27, 2018 00:00 - 1 hour - 52.7 MB

David and I watch the gangster classic Reservoir Dogs. A diamond heist movie with no diamonds and no heist.

Star Trek (2009)

December 03, 2018 00:00 - 2 hours - 86.6 MB

David and I watch the 2009 JJ Abrams reboot of Star Trek.

Halloween

November 22, 2018 03:00 - 1 hour - 66.1 MB

The movie that set the rules for all slashers that follow. David is a huge fan of the 1978 horror classic and the crew discusses the movie and the franchise of Michael Myers.

Scream

November 22, 2018 02:00 - 1 hour - 76.3 MB

I went into this film flam feeling a little 'meh' about the cult classic but found that Scream may be a predacessor to movies like Cabin In The Woods. As often happens my impression of the movie was raised during the process of film flams.

Episode 43: The Monster Squad

November 09, 2018 23:00 - 1 hour - 60.1 MB

This was my favorite movie as a child and I assumed that watching 20+ years later would lead me to cringe. I was pleasantly surprised as this movie really holds up in a big way. Goonies, who?

Episode 42: The Exorcism of Emily Rose

November 09, 2018 23:00 - 2 hours - 58.5 MB

Silhouettê d’Amour joins us in this awesome display of Laura Linny’s contortion ability.

Episode 41: The Craft

November 08, 2018 23:30 - 1 hour - 83.6 MB

This week we’re joined by Silhouette d’amour who picked the movie The Craft. What I remember about this movies is; SNAKES! SNAKES! FU@#ING SNAKES!! But in addition to that it’s a movie about teenage self identity and finding yourself as a teenager moving into adulthood (all characters played by adults) and sometimes you must be careful what you wish for. @silhouettedamour

Episode 39: They Live

November 08, 2018 23:00 - 1 hour - 67 MB

An awesome movie that spans horror, sci-fi, and political satire. This movie may be 20 years ahead of it's time. Listen to David, Bo and special guest Kyle discuss the amazing back story and iconic scenes of 1988's They Live.

Episode 40: Mad Max: Fury Road

November 08, 2018 23:00 - 2 hours - 71.5 MB

If you don't normally listen to the film flam episodes, I really think you should consider this one.  Fury Road is a bit of a sleeper great movie, while critically acclaimed it wasn't as profitable as you may think.  Personally I originally saw the movie thinking it was going to be a dumb action flick (which are still great for different reasons) turns out it's perfectly balanced movie that never lulls.

Cabin in the woods

October 03, 2018 23:00 - 1 hour - 56.1 MB

This is the perfect open to the October movie-thon! On the face Cabin In The Woods is a masterpeice of horror genre satyre but also finds a way to comment on the movie industry as a whole.

Episode 35: Mallrats

October 03, 2018 01:00 - 1 hour - 56.5 MB

This week's Film Flam is one of my favorite movies; Mallrats. Probably the best view askewniverse movie and the first one I saw as a young, soon-to-be Kev smith fan. Watch and listen along as David and I fanboy this peace of 90s cultural history.

Episode 36: Xanadu

October 03, 2018 01:00 - 1 hour - 68.2 MB

Xanadu is a 1980 musical in which an artist needs inspiration to run a night club, I guess. To follow his dreams of being an artist by not painting a single painting the entire movie. Oh, but there is street art that comes to life and somehow helps... Xanadu.

Episode 37: Birdman or (The Unexpected Virtue of Ignorance)

October 03, 2018 01:00 - 2 hours - 85.3 MB

Does Riggan have speacial powers? Probably not, But I’m pretty sure Michael Keaton does. This movie showcases Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, Edward Norton and many others. Possibly the most intentional casting for a movie covering art, self doubt, self identity, and celebrity. A deconstruction balanced in dark comedy. Listen along as David and I watch one of my favorite and one of David’s most “meh” movies of all time.

Episode 33: Alien 3

October 01, 2018 00:00 - 2 hours - 78.3 MB

David and Bo watch the third installment of the Alien franchise, Alien 3.

Episode 32: Aliens

October 01, 2018 00:00 - 2 hours - 90.2 MB

David and I continue the Alien franchise with my personal favorite. Aliens. Disney's newest princess Ripley fights the evil queen in this fairy tale thriller.

Episode 34: Alien: Resurrection

October 01, 2018 00:00 - 1 hour - 66.1 MB

We round out the end of our Aline series with the final (chronologically speaking) installment; Alien: Resurrection. This movie has some redeeming qualities but overall is a prime example of how you can have all the right people involved and all the best intentions but still miss the mark. Also there was a giant pregnant queen that gave birth to an xeno-human abomination with Muppet eyes.

Episode 31: Alien

September 30, 2018 23:00 - 2 hours - 69.8 MB

Join in as Bo and David watch the classic Sci-Fi horror Alien.

Episode 30: Galaxy Quest

September 16, 2018 01:00 - 1 hour - 53.4 MB

J.J. Abrams said that Galaxy Quest was "One of the best" Stat Trek films ever made. We have to at least agree that it is one of the best Sci-fi adventure movies ever made and it's most likely due to the ability to be funny while not belittling Sci-fi fans. The Sci-fi fandom parody that laughs with you but not at you.

Episode 29: Yoga Hosers

September 16, 2018 01:00 - 1 hour - 40.6 MB

I'm really excited for the third installment of the Kevin Smith Canadian horrors, Moose Jaws. But I would be a terrible fan if I watched Moose Jaws without seeing the second installment. Yoga Hosers is one half Clerks level genius and one half ridiculous, hilarious, cartoonish comedy. Follow along as we witness the wurst Canada has to offer.

Episode 28: Alien: Covenant

September 16, 2018 01:00 - 2 hours - 57.7 MB

Support Film Flams

Episode 27: Tusk

September 16, 2018 00:00 - 1 hour - 76.4 MB

Tusk is a smart and interest work of art that balances Kevin Smith style humor with torture porn style horror.

Episode 25: Terminator Salvation

September 09, 2018 23:00 - 1 hour - 54.6 MB

David and I watch the fourth installment of the Terminator franchise. Terminator Salvation. The plot of this movie would make a great video game plot, with many different backdrops and multiple goals spread out through plot twists and intertwining stories. While this movie seems to be an attempt at the franchise's SALVATION (see what I did there?) it's plot is just a little convoluted compared to the original two movies and being rated PG 13 brings it back to the family friendly third install...

Episode 24: Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines

September 09, 2018 23:00 - 1 hour - 44.4 MB

Most definitely not the shining light of the franchise, Terminator 3 was the first non James Cameron Terminator and it may as well have had Fonzie jumping a shark on skies. The movie has some questionable casting and some even more questionable plot points. All that said, we still freaking love it. It's kind of like having a dog that eats your shoes. It's going to consistently ruin your day but maybe every once in a while it'll hump your friend's leg.

Episode 26: Terminator Genisys

September 09, 2018 23:00 - 2 hours - 65.3 MB

Our Film Flams of the Terminator saga has come to an end. An end that returns to it's beginning. The Genesis installment of the Terminator franchise starts before the opening of the first movie. The story actually covers the chronological distance of the entire series. The Terminator series was fun to cover in Film Flams and it really brought me more appreciation for a series I already enjoyed.

Episode 22: The Terminator

September 09, 2018 22:00 - 1 hour - 52.8 MB

Both David and myself have a great appreciation for The Terminator. Join us as we get drunk and watch a american sci-fi classic.

Episode 23: Terminator 2

September 09, 2018 22:00 - 2 hours - 83.2 MB

Most definitely not the shining light of the franchise, Terminator 3 was the first non James Cameron Terminator and it may as well have had Fonzie jumping a shark on skies. The movie has some questionable casting and some even more questionable plot points. All that said, we still freaking love it. It's kind of like having a dog that eats your shoes. It's going to consistently ruin your day but maybe every once in a while it'll hump your friend's leg.

Episode 21: Warcraft

September 06, 2018 23:00 - 2 hours - 68.5 MB

David and I watch one of my favorite movies of recent release. Warcraft!  Being a huge World of Warcraft fan this commentary has almost no dead spots as David and have a lot to talk about in this commentary. We discuss the things Warcraft does great and the things that are not so great. But all-in-all I really do love this movie and I hope Blizzard and Legendary decide to do more.

Episode 20: Air

September 06, 2018 22:00 - 1 hour - 62.2 MB

David and I haven't done a Film Flam in over two years! This was a great come back! Mainly because neither David nor myself had ever seen the movie AIR before but where both intrigued by a Norman Reedus starring, Robert Kirkman produced sci-fi movie, filmed on a small set with a small cast. Check out the episode to get our take on the film and our guessing the conclusion of the movie while watching.

Episode 19: Hercules

September 06, 2018 22:00 - 1 hour - 59.1 MB

One of David's favorite childhood movies, The classic Hercules starring Lou Ferrigno. This is an icon movie that represents a genre and time period of movie history. Plus it has plenty of scantily clad ladies in ridiculous costumes. Lou Ferrigno is Jacked and throws bears into Space, Check it out if you haven't yet.

Episode 17: Commando

September 06, 2018 00:00 - 1 hour - 68.6 MB

Not even John Matrix could make a better movie, but maybe he could because maybe John Matrix can do all things. Could John Matrix tighten a pickle jar so tight that not even John Matrix could open it. Such question where not meant for man to answer.

Episode 18: Troll 2

September 06, 2018 00:00 - 1 hour - 41.1 MB

The documentary about this movie has a tittle that best describes the contents of Troll 2, documentary tittle - Best Worst Movie. Troll 2 may just be the best worst movie ever made. While far from being a good movie it's not the worst movie ever but out of the bad ones it may be the most fun.

Episode 16: Prometheus

September 05, 2018 23:00 - 2 hours - 77.4 MB

The prequel to Alien. A visual masterpeace with a flawed plot. David and I disagree with the degree at witch we love and hate this movie.

Episode 15: Cruel Intentions

August 30, 2018 00:30 - 1 hour - 91.9 MB

This is my wife's favorite movie, she must be a freak. This is one of those chick-flicks where the hot guy is trying to win a bet at the expense of the hot girl and the hot girl eventually convences him that he "can love" after all. The wife joins us in flaming this classic chick flick.

Episode 14: Crocodile Dundee

August 30, 2018 00:00 - 1 hour - 93.8 MB

an eccentric crocodile poacher meets a New York City reporter and is a fish out of water in america.

Episode 13: The Shining

August 28, 2018 23:00 - 2 hours - 93.4 MB

Very, very different from the original Stephen King source matterial but is a whole new thing; a Stanley Kubrick masterpeace. As much as I love this movie it is strange that Halloran spends the subplot of the movie getting back to The Overlook hotel just to killed before he even walks inside.

Episode 12: The Exorcist

August 28, 2018 23:00 - 2 hours - 74.6 MB

This is one of the legendary horrors from the time when horror was actually horrifying.

Episode 11: Burn After Reading

August 18, 2018 00:00 - 1 hour - 91.6 MB

The first time I saw this movie it was in the theater and I laughed myself under the seat in front of me. One of my all time favorite comedies. Check out our awesome comentary.

Episode 10: Let me in

August 12, 2018 19:00 - 1 hour - 80.7 MB

Derived from the original Let The Right One In, Let Me In is a slow paced, mysterious, horror thriller. Enjoyed this movie and hopefully we had a good companion commentary.

Episode 9: Stranger Than Fiction

August 12, 2018 19:00 - 1 hour - 84.2 MB

(Stranger Than Fistion + David + Bo) x (microphone + beer) = Film Flams episode 9 I love it when a comedian can play a role like Harold Crick, A calculated straight lace IRS agent who falls in love with the free-spirited Ana Pascal. The character is verry different from Will Ferrell's usual roles of halarious outrageous SNL characters. This movie may be just a bit underrated in some circles but this Fillm Flam may be one of my favorites.
