Film Disquisition Vol 3: Fifty Pills

Gracie is a peppy, pearl-necklace-wearing college student who is interested in super lower middle class Darren. Unfortunately, Darren is hard up for funds and on academic probation so their time together isn't exactly filled with fun dates. It becomes clear that Darren is going through a very hard time when he isn't even able to go for a walk due to having sold his winter coat for cash to pay his tuition. Gracie becomes suspicious of Darren's behavior when she begins hearing rumors that Darren is selling drugs. One night, she calls him and pretends to be some rando looking for an Ecstasy hookup and when he confirms that he has some pills available she catches him. Gracie does forgive him and in the end is finally able to go on that walk with Darren and they take a selfie together with a disposable camera- Gracie thinks in a cute, couple way, but Darren has ulterior motives to assuage his parents fears and prove that he is not gay.
