Film Disquisition Vol 2 Ep 36: JT LeRoy

Savannah is new to San Francisco and has just moved in with her older brother and his girlfriend, Laura. One night after a party, Laura reveals to Savannah that she is secretly a best-selling author writing under the pseudonym JT LeRoy. Soon Savannah is roped into pretending to be JT for interviews and photoshoots. Before she knows it, she's meeting with an actress who wants to turn JT's book into a movie. As the stakes grow higher, Savannah's relationship with Laura frays as the two struggle over ownership of JT. Once the ruse is finally revealed, Savannah and Laura are able to make peace and go their separate ways amicably.
