In part two of their showcase series on Giant Baba, Fumi and Justin talked about Giant Baba’s transition from wrestler into promoter and the beginnings of AJPW and the deep relationship his organization had to the NWA in the US, which many Japanese fans viewed as the true “Big Leagues” of pro wrestling in the 1950s onward.
Next week picks up from Baba’s career in the early 70s at the beginning of AJPW into the early 80s. Part three will also go into more detail on Mrs. Baba plus a lot more.
