Since the beginning of the Coronavirus pandemic, we’ve been watching how this global health crisis has created an economic depression that’s impacted many of the individuals and organizations that we’ve interviewed for the podcast.

This crisis has impacted the podcast too, but it’s been relatively easy for us to pivot to remote interviews and keep these conversations going. As a result, our expenses have greatly decreased, and it’s unclear when we’ll need the money from our last Kickstarter campaign to pay for travel again.

As more and more organizations are in need right now, I (Amelia) have decided to redistribute some of the remaining money from our last campaign through donations to past Fifty Feminist States guests and community members.

I’d also like to invite all of you to do the same if you’re in a stable financial position, so I’ve compiled a blog post with donation links to all of the individuals and organizations from past episodes who could use our support right now. You can see the organizations and a brief bit about their work below. Please support if you’re in the position to do so!

This doesn't mean that the podcast is ending or going away. This month we plan to donate about $500 of the $1500 remaining from the last Kickstarter campaign and we'll contribute more in the future as needed. We’re confident that when travel is safe again, there will be plenty of support for Fifty Feminist States to continue on this fifty state journey.

If you happen to be in a position to support Fifty Feminist States at this time, we'd like to invite you to contribute a $5 monthly donation on our new glow.fm page. If just ten listeners can pledge ongoing support in that way, we'll be able to cover the ongoing costs of the podcast and begin saving for future seasons.

Thanks so much for reading and supporting the podcast. If you haven't yet, please listen to the new episodes in season five! We promise you'll really enjoy them!
