Michael Huber, Certified Mental Performance Consultant and the founder of The Freshman Foundation Podcast, joins Glenn on the Field for Suicide Prevention and Awareness month, to discuss how to overcome pre-existing mental health conditions, the impact mental health has on student athletes, and why suicide has become the fourth leading cause of death for student athletes in high school and college.  Michael also addresses the difficulties athletes often face when making the transition to college, the common warning signs athletes may be experiencing, the risk factors of mental health, and intervention methods to prevent athletes from self-inflicted harm.  Michael also shares his personal journey as an athlete and some of his greatest struggles he has experienced in his life that led him to enter into the sports psychology field.
