Hey all,

I've been thinking about the bests way to improve. One topic I want to revisit muscle memory. I've been learning many things at my job at Western Michigan University and as such, I started to notice teaching certain topics proved difficult. Similarly, I found explaining how I played FANG in SFV to be challenging. I realized that I had internalized many of the sub-skill required to perform tasks. As someone who enjoys teaching, I found this curious.

Recently I've decided to learn Akuma in SFV. I wanted to start from scratch and train in a more productive manner. I wanted to develop the most important skills and commit them to muscle memory. I wanted my body to naturally reach without having to think about what to do. I knew that this would free up mental spaced to think more deeply about my opponent and his/her tendencies. This episode is a short dive into this topic.
