Are you one of the millions of baby boomers who are choosing to forego traditional retirement in favor of continuing your work life? If so, you’ll probably want to explore careers that provide, not only an income, but also the opportunity to find more personal meaning from your work. The mission of Encore.org is to build a movement that taps into the skills and experience of those in midlife and beyond to improve communities and society as a whole. In other words, Encore specializes in finding “Second Acts For the Greater Good.”
Our guest today, Betsy Werley, is in her third career. After working as a lawyer and banker, she launched her "encore" career at age 50. She was Executive Director of The Transition Network, a national organization for women 50 and forward. Now she leads the Encore Network, a global coalition that views people over 50 as a resource for social impact.
If you’re a boomer who’s looking to find purpose, passion and a paycheck, you won’t want to miss this one!
