The race to become US President
Scots furlough fiasco
Identity politics
SNP conference agenda leak

It's very definitely the morning after the night before as we try to get out heads round the US Presidential election results and the arcane Electoral College system.

As we recorded it was all still to play for with Trump and Biden running neck and neck and the outcome depending on the last few congressional districts in the last few states.

Turning back to matters domestic, Douglas Ross and the Scottish Tories seemed to have pulled off a nice wee political coup with Johnson seeming to have agreed an extension of the 80% furlough scheme for as long as Scotland needed it.

It didn't take long for that to unravel after Robert Jenrick and Steve Barclay signalled a rapid roll back from that "iron cast" agreement.

Identity politics was definitely at the heart of the Trump campaign. What then is the significance of Nigel Farage launching yet another political party in the light of his ,undoubted, success in reshaping UK politics with UKIP, and the Brexit Party?

The SNP draft agenda  for its national conference was leaked to the press and it's safe to say it's caused more than a bit of a stooshy amongst grass roots members.

All this plus football analogies, Lesley's appearance on Scotland Tonight ,the AUOB assembly, and Edinburgh v Glasgow university rivalries.
