“You never turn your back on family” – Dom

Well, in a sense you do. But its all ok in the end.

If you thought the franchise could not get any bigger it has. Fast8’s rip-roaring, joke laden “car” film series is back. This time though i have to say, its pretty boring. Its no rules all the time now and you either scoff at what you are seeing or you crush another NOS energy drink and keep going.

A one word review would be outlandish. Anything can be hacked, a one man crew can break into any military establishment and one global threat on humanity is not enough. F8 flexes its muscles so much that it loses any type of impact whether it be for drama’s sake or on the action side. Its less about the cars, less about family and more about what is the ceiling on “dumb” fun.

The film will greet you at the starting line of the summer blockbusters but for me, i enjoyed the more subtle times.
