After a career as a middle grades teacher, Joe pursued an MA in Educational Technology. Joe currently holds professorships at both Azusa Pacific University and Westmont College. His work as a speaker in the fields of education and parent guidance led to Random House publishing his book "A Parents' Guide to the Middle School Years" in 2009. In 2010, Joe founded Sprigeo.com and developed the company's online reporting system as a confidential way for kids and teens to report bullying incidents and safety threats. Joe currently serves on the board of the International Bullying Prevention Association.
