Malazan has really been blowing Jim's mind this year, and will continue to do so as he keeps on reading. But what is it about Malazan that so grabs a reader? Jim is joined by guest Colin (Colin's Corner YouTube channel), a fellow Malazan first timer, to talk about this series and how it sucks a person in. This is a spoiler-lite discussion; we'll talk general themes and style, but no specific plot points - easy to do, when we haven't yet finished the series!

Frustratingly, we had some minor tech issues with this recording, an occasional "beep" coming in from Colin for the first half of the episode, and some signal glitches with Jim's visual, but nothing that makes the episode hard to watch. Mostly, just annoys the heck out of Jim's perfectionist tendencies.
