Episode 18: Midweek Special: Rate a Magic System Series - The Wheel of Time

This Midweek Special kicks off a series we will return to from time to time, diving deep into the magic system created for various fantasy series. We'll explore the rules, what makes the system tick, all the things one can do with the magic. We'll explore its strengths, and seek to identify any intentional failings as well as perhaps author inconsistencies. At the end of each magic system review, we'll give our clear, definitive, and likely rather subjective rating score. This episode, come hear how the the magic system of The Wheel of Time rates, and see if you agree.

Midweek Specials can be a bit more "spoiler-y" than our regular content, but this one isn't so bad. If you are a first-time WoT reader journeying along with us as you read, note that you'll learn more about the One Power here than has been revealed so far in The Eye of the World, but we won't ruin it for you. We think you are safe to listen, and it will only enhance what you can expect to see through the rest of the series.
