Garo Setian proves in his labor of love that a science fiction film with a heart can be made on a limited budget, especially when the story is told properly. In his first full-length feature film Automation, Setian, wrote, directed and produced a movie about a military robot that was reprogrammed for civilian work that lead to the replacement of human workers, causing a retaliation that rebooted Auto into the once killing machine he was intended to be.

Coincidentally, Setian set out to make a good science fiction movie with a social commentary that ended up being prophetic in the new world we live in.

We caught up with Setian about Automation, how some of the pick ups were shot at the animation studio Titmouse and the hopes of a future sequel.

Automation is available now on VOD and Blu-ray. You can find it on your favorite platforms by going to www.epic-pictures.com/film/automation.
