How do we use our gifts in ministry?

Josh and Heather Lieurance share that our spiritual gifts grow best while we are actively pursuing Jesus and loving others. We are all called to ministry and using our gifts isn't as complicated as it sounds.

"It doesn't have to be this complicated, 'try to find out your gift' sort of thing. If we are just willing to be ourselves and be available to love people and serve in the ways God presents us with, that's really what using our gifts is."

Bio:
Josh & Heather Lieurance have been serving at First Baptist Church of Cambria for the past 5 years. Josh is the Lead Pastor and Heather works in an Administrative role. They both love to walk alongside people as they take the next steps of faith in their relationship with Jesus.
Josh was previously a minister of youth and worship for 15 years. While serving in that capacity, he began to notice the many small churches without a pastor to lead them. Sensing God nudging him to step into this void, he returned to school and earned his MDiv at Talbot School of Theology.
Heather spent many years homeschooling their children and working alongside Josh in youth ministry before her personal faith journey revealed a desperate need to learn to care for her own soul. Growing in this area then unleashed a passion in her to encourage others in caring for their souls , as well. One way she strives to do this is through her podcast “Quiet on Purpose.”
On weekends, and as often as they can, they love to get outdoors, finding ways to make use of their bicycles, SUPs, and teardrop trailer throughout the year. They are grateful to call California’s Central Coast “home.”
