Born and raised in South Carolina, Si'mone Hughes Lewis, better known as DJ Monie "The Risque DJ", is the granddaughter of the late Thomas "TJ" Hughes, one of the first black disc jockeys in the South. With music running deep in the family, other family members also fell in love with the craft; Dewey Hughes and Tori Brixx are also on the family tree.
Although DJ Monie is a new face behind the turntables, she's been a staple in the industry for years. As the CEO and Creative Director of Si'mone Hughes International, she and her team have worked on creative projects for some of the industry's most influential recording artists such as Kash Doll, Trae Tha Truth, and Elijah Blake to name a few.
DJ Monie is an Open Format, Multi-Genre DJ playing everything from Hip Hop, R&B, EDM, Lounge, Top 40, Old School, Dancehall/Reggae, Twerk/Trap & more! Available for booking throughout the US and some International locations(Virtual or In-Person), whether you are celebrating nuptials, having dinner with friends, entertaining your corporate crew, or any other occasion, DJ Monie is ready to set the mood right!
