We seem to be saying this a lot but boy oh boy, once again, we have another dramatic week in hockey!
The NHL seems to keep taking it on the chin. After being criticized for not postponing games right away following the Jacob Blake incident, the NHL postponed the playoffs for two days...and still got lambasted. The Hockey Diversity Alliance has some demands for the NHL. What are they and are they feasible? Let’s discuss it!
And with that drama, comes more drama from Twitter. Logan Couture allegedly being sucker-punched because of someone overhearing a discussion. Add to all that, the NHL came down with the hammer when it comes to the Arizona Coyotes and their 'tampering' scandal. A second-round pick in this year's draft AND a first-round pick in next year's draft. Yikes.
And you know it can't be an episode of FaceOff without bringing it back to the Leafs - Freddy Andersen's name has been circulating when it comes to trade rumors. What could this mean...other than the Leafs want to move on from Freddy? Who can they get to replace him?
We also got second-round updates as well. Tampa Bay moves on after beating the Boston Bruins 4-1 and the hockey world celebrated in joy! Colorado came back in Game 5, do they have it in them to win the series? The Golden Knights and the New York Islanders have been dominant so far in their respective series.
FaceUp is back as well and it’s a quick one!
Let's go!
