Biography

Ajay Parasram is a transnational, multi-generational by-product of British empire living and working in K’jipuktuk, unceded Mi’kma’qi.

He is Assistant Professor in the departments of International Development Studies and History at Dalhousie University, where he researches and teaches on the broad significance of the colonial encounter and the colonial present, as well as a third year course in International Development Activism.
