It’s a Star Wars prequel-style Jedi double team on this week’s  Fabulous Film & Friends, where two like minded movie fans will team up against a solo dissenter  in an epic duel over the worthiness of the 2015 Denis Villeneuve drug cartel potboiler Sicario

My tag-team partner is David Johnson DMD, and joining us in the opposite corner for his first stint on Triple F is, is our old pal from our High School Matthew Turvey. Matt is a film, music and literature lover,  Barnes and Noble Manager, the last of a kind, and yet another one of my Eastern Oregon Western Idaho friends who randomly migrated to Salt Lake City.

This is the first FFF where I previously crossed swords with my guest on Facebook concerning a film’s overall quality,  but given the devoted and continued success of the property, I decided to take the fight outside to the streets and the public at at large.

But first, a synopsis.

After a raid gone awry in a horrific, dead body and booby-trapped laden cartel house in Arizona, FBI Agent and Kidnapping Task Force Specialist Kate Mercer is recruited by a shawdowy CIA operative named Matt Graver and his mysterious partner Alejandro to take the fight to the cartels in Mexico. Eager to bring justice to the drug kingpins and to fight the good fight, Mercer signs on willingly but is soon confronted with both a war and a world where black and white have transformed into an impenetrable gray. Wrong is right. Good people do bad things. Bad people do worse things. Who do you root for?
