#001 - The Terminator with Vance Piper

Vance Piper is a revered and respected  San Francisco Bay Area Film & Television  Director of Photography, Camera Operator, and Assistant Camera.  One of the nicest people I’ve ever worked with, our paths crossed in the early oughts on several commercials and independent films, but I didn’t consider him a true friend until 2017 when I was shocked that he not only agreed to work with me on one of my low budget video projects, but actually seemed to enjoy it and didn’t complain about the low rent catering.

In this episode, Vance and I discuss the making of and cultural impact of James Cameron's 1984 sci fi sleeper hit The Terminator, one of Vance's early camera assistant jobs.
