We are re-posting our episode on A CLOCKWORK ORANGE in preparation for the 2021 airing of an episode of FEAR + LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS by Hunter S. Thompson. Books of kindred spirit, FEAR + LOATHING was published roughly a decade after CLOCKWORK ORANGE appeared in 1962.
FROM THE ORIGINAL POST:
The amazing Lucé Tomlin-Brenner (@LTBComedy) got host Emily Edwards (@MsEmilyEdwards) to read a book she's dreaded her entire life: A CLOCKWORK ORANGE.
SUMMARY
Alex is a teenage ne'er-do-well living at some point in the not-defined future of London. He and his marauding band of goons commit various crimes (murder, rape) until Alex is caught and sent through a re-education camp. His moral salvation depends on if you read the book or watch the movie.
