What would you rather have? A fight or avoiding a fight? A battle or the avoidance of a battle? Instead of asking God for strength in a battle, how about asking God to help you avoid the battle entirely? Today we finish the last part of the Prayer of Jabez where we examine the verse that asks for God to keep evil away from me so as to not cause me pain (or cause pain to others). We know that the way we fight as Christians is on our knees and that the victory is the Lord's so maybe simply asking for God to keep the evil one away from you might be the best thing.
