No, this is NOT a DNR podcast! And while Maryland does not have any four-legged black bears, we DO have the two-legged variety in The Maryland Black Bears hockey team!

With their home ice right up at the Piney Orchard Ice Arena, this junior league team of the NAHL snuck up on our radar this year!

We went up and spoke with the President of the organization, Robyn Remick; the Head Coach and GM, Clint Mylymok; and Director of Communications Colin MacCarthy to learn all we could about the team.

The take away--if you can't make it this season to see them, make plans to next year! I went last Friday night and had a blast watching elite hockey in my own backyard and enjoying a $20 evening (all you can eat soda, pasta and a ticket to the game).
