Welcome to another episode of Exploring the Wine Glass. Today we return to Winephabet Street. So sweep those clouds away and come where the wine is neat. Come join me on Winephabet Street.

Today’s letter of the day is G and it stands for Glera. Originally known as Prosecco, but as the region became a DOCG in 2009, the name was changed to Glera, the variety term to avoid confusion. Although the true origin of Glera is not proven, it is generally accepted that it originates from Prosecco, which is located near the Italian-Slovenian border.

Today I am drinking Terre de San Venanzio Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore Fortunato. In between you raising a glass of Prosecco to your lips, please swipe to rate and review the podcast so that others can find me. Thank you.
