Driving tour of the most action packed road in the park! Madison Junction to Old Faithful to see the largest collection of geysers on earth!

This podcast explores the action packed 16 mile section of road between Madison Junction down to Old Faithful. We make a stop at the best spot in the park to see the lava flows that covered the park 600,000 years ago and then drive by the Firehole Swimming Area and stop at the beautiful but seldom seen Firehole Cascades. 

We then drive to the Upper Geyser Basin which has more geysers in it that the rest of the world combined and is  home to the Grandaddy of them all-Old Faithful! As well as Beehive, Castle, Daisy, Riverside and Grand Geyser which is the largest predictable geyser in the world. 

We then make stops at Black Sand Basin, then Bisquit Basin and then I get you to the new viewing platform which gets you to the best place to see the Grand Prismatic pool which is the most photographed pool on the planet. 

We then take the gorgeous Firehole Lake Drive and catch Great Fountain Geyser, then White Dome Geyser and then the unusual Firehole Lake. 

And as usual, I toss in a few interesting stories about people falling into some of Yellowstone's hot pools, getting stomped by a Bison and other fun tid bits. All along the most action packed stretch of road in the park.
