Expat Teen James talks about moving from the UK to Qatar as a young child and the dramatic difference between those two worlds. He talks about unique experiences with the culture and holidays abroad.

He then discusses moving to a tiny town in Germany where he learns German and integrates with the local community. Not long after, the family moves to The Netherlands, where they currently reside.

After getting settled in a new country, James then faces another transition--gender reassignment. His tremendous courage is met with open acceptance from peers and family. He offers advice to fellow transgender teens as well as to parents and teachers in how they can offer support.

James talks in detail about the impact living abroad has had on his life, and what he envisions for the future.
