On paper, Rock & Rule (1983) sounds like an awesome movie. It’s an animated dystopian rock musical featuring the vocal talents of Debbie Harry, Lou Reed, Iggy Pop, Cheap Trick, and Earth, Wind, and Fire. On screen, however, it’s a cacophony of missed opportunities, bad writing, and poor animation.
