On this episode of EvolveHer Unpacked, Amanda and Alicia sit down with powerhouse Cheryle Jackson, former SVP of Global Business Development and President of AAR Africa for AAR, and CEO + Founder of Grit and Grace, The Movement, a women’s empowerment, coaching and media company. Growing up with a family on the front lines of the Civil Rights Movement, Cheryle was no stranger to grit. It wasn't until she encountered life's hardest moments did she understand why "grit" needed to stand alongside "grace." 

After a breast cancer diagnosis and divorce through a Post-It, Cheryle had no other choice than to dig deep and find her inner strength - this is where her grace kicked in. Through her hardest moments, Cheryle found her company, Grit + Grace to help women gain the confidence to advocate and take better care of themselves.

More About Cheryle Jackson: Cheryle Robinson Jackson is CEO and Founder of Grit and Grace, The Movement, a women’s empowerment, coaching and media company she founded in 2018. Until 2019, she served as Senior Vice President of Global Business Development and President of AAR Africa for AAR, a global aviation services company.

Prior to joining AAR, Jackson was a candidate for President Obama’s once‐vacant U.S. Senate seat in 2010 and was the first female president and CEO of the Chicago Urban League. Jackson also served as communications director for the Governor of Illinois and was the first woman and African American in the state’s history to hold that position. Her professional experience also includes senior level positions at Amtrak and NPR.
