This episode was done in a sober fashion (although I did have three cups of coffee beforehand).

I open up the show going off on Trump and the shutdown, that ridiculous fast-food feast he had, stars distancing themselves from R. Kelly and a recent run-in I had with gold grill-wearing dude outside of a gas station. Later on, I call up Liz Spikol, a former colleague from my Philadelphia Weekly days, about the old days and how to properly report on mental health in print, especially when the people writing on it have mental issues of their own. (I did a piece on depression not too long ago: https://medium.com/@unclecrizzle/i-am-black-i-am-depressed-here-is-my-story-b03cfc223a78.)

As for music, I play music by Craig David and KAYTRANADA, Dan the Automator featuring Mike Patton, Jennifer Charles & Kid Koala and Missy Elliott featuring Lil' Kim and Mocha.
