Episode 71 of the Jim Saxton State Farm Insurance Agency Stories Inside the Man Cave was a  full house with Big Mike, Clynch, Coach Mo, and Hardball Hardge which compliments the two guests, Bob Shipley and Chris Almendarez.

Yes, that Shipley. The patriarch of the royal Texas football family which produced the Texas Longhorn receivers: Jordan and Jaxon.

Bob Shipley "officially" retired from the University of Texas football staff three days prior to the recording of this podcast.

It's all about FAITH, FAMILY, & FOOTBALL with the Shipleys.

But, Shipley is more than elated to move on from coaching and spend more time with this family, which is "everything" to Bob.

He joins his sons in their business which was launched by Jordan Shipley. If you're interested in purchasing ranch property, look no farther than:

In fact, Bob joined us via Zoom while excavating property overlooking Possum Kingdom Lake, while taking a knee.. haha

The storytelling was priceless which per the usual with Bob.

The Burnet, Texas native provided laugh after laugh about his experiences post retirement from coaching high school football when Mack Brown hired him onto his final staff at Texas in 2013. Shipley was an extension for recruiting due to his relationships with the Texas high school coaches.

He talked about growing up in Burnet and hunting varmints and selling raccoon pelts for $20 each.

During his high school coaching career he took the Burnet Bulldogs to  new heights and Brownwood as well.

One unique trait about Shipley is his perspective on life and how to motivate. That is evident from his classic daily tweets. Be sure to follow Bob on Twitter:

The Jim Saxton State Farm Insurance Agency "Man Cave Story" from Shipley was a classic. It involved hiding in the closet of coaching office at Burnet High School

Almendarez and the Express, like all of minor league baseball, suffered tremendous setbacks due to Covid, In fact, 40% of the Express was laid off.

The Express managed to host 40 socially distanced events during the pandemic at Dell Diamond.

The Man Cave boys wrapped up this fun episode discussing Texas Longhorns baseball, the NFL Draft, and the "Tell Me Something Good" segment.
