Hardball Hardge and Clynch interviewed Bob Wager, the winningest football coach in Arlington Martin High School history, in segment one.

Wager was born and raised in the northeast portion of the country and attended Springfield College in Massachusetts, where he was a running back in the wishbone offense.

Wager was inspired by his football coaches throughout his life. After he read the New York Times best seller, Friday Night Lights (focused on Odessa Permian's rich tradition in the late 1980's), it inspired him to become a high school football coach in Texas.

Wager packed up his clothes, a suit, $500 and hopped on his motorcycle en route to Texas to find a football coaching opportunity in Texas.

His first stop was at the Texas High School Coaches Association Clinic, where he found an opportunity to coach. That eventually landed him his 1st high school head coaching gig at Tolar High School, then to Groveton High School, and Kaufman.

His success earned him his ultimate opportunity where's he been for 16 seasons, Martin High School in Arlington.  Wager has built the Martin Warriors into a playoff power and is the winningest coach in that program's history.

It's what he's achieved off the field with his players in the community which has meant more to him than the success on the field.

Wager elaborates on that during this segment one interview.

Coach Mo was absent due to training next generation athletes, but Big Mike did make a big appearance in segment two with us to discuss all things Steve Sarkisian.

The 31st head football coach at the University of Texas was formally introduced this week.
